The team at OSTIF is honored and excited to announce that for a fifth consecutive year we are a recipient of the DuckDuckGo Charitable Donations Program. The privilege of receiving this donation a fifth time is not lost on us, and reinforces that our mission is being carried out effectively and loudly.

We number among 29 organizations who have been recognized by the program this year, and are just one of four open source centric groups honored. Organizations are chosen that “promote privacy and security, digital competition, and a healthier online ecosystem,” and our work improving security of open source projects is an important part of improving the global web of software. Privacy rights and zero-trust digital frameworks are made possible by security measures being implemented by OSTIF engagements.

Open-ended donations like DuckDuckGo’s are incredibly valuable and important to non-profit organizations. Funding models such as this helps OSTIF fairly compensate staff for their efforts to organize and execute audits. Our ability to be flexible, transparent, and financially fair to all  is made possible by DuckDuckGo and other unconditional grants.
